Pedestal Rock and Lick Fork Bicycle Ride
The Pedestal Rock and Lick Fork Bicycle ride is held every October on the 3rd Saturday of the month, with the hope that fall foliage is in full swing. The ride begins and ends in Witts Springs Arkansas (SW Searcy County) in the heart of the Ozarks. There are basically two rides here: a road ride and a gravel ride. They start and end at the same place, but the road riders head west on highway 16, with turn-around points to reach 20, 40, 50, or 62 miles. The gravel grinders head down Lick Fork Road, with turn-around points to reach 15, 30, 45, or 62 miles. There is also a 10-mile road ride opportunity for those who don't want to commit to a longer ride.
All riders get pre- and post-ride meals and a swag bag that includes a Gilden soft tee-shirt. We’re also offering camping the night before with an option to attend a dinner sponsored by the Witts Springs Masonic Lodge - a donation to their organization is much appreciated.
The Pedestal Rock 40 supports work being done by Community Voices, a 501(c)3 organization, to showcase the beauty of the Authentic Ozarks and strengthen the lives of rural Arkansawyers living in the Boston Mountains of southwest Searcy County.
